Every Monday, I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you.
I love all the wonderful artwork and quotes on Pinterest. Here is one of my favorites. I looked up the verses that remind me of the sentiments on this image. Seeing the Father in everything is paramount on a daily basis. It keeps me centered and focused. It really isn’t that hard to do. He makes it easy.
Have a wonderful week friends!

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised,” (Proverbs 31:30).

By the time you read this post this morning, I will be driving to my father’s house in Oregon with my three children. Driving to spend some precious time with my Dad who is in the middle of a grueling battle with Cancer. My dad who all my life was easily described as one of the toughest men a man has ever met. He is a man’s man. He is a determined man. God made him that way. Praise, God.
Hopefully, by the time you have read this, I am still being patient with my children who will have been in the car for far too long. Prayerfully, I will have been love to them all day no matter the circumstances. Prayerfully.
We all make journeys that are filled with trials. Joy and happiness can be found in the trials too. I have been trying to remind myself of this all week. My children are making memories that will travel with them all their lives. I am choosing to be love to them along the way. Sometimes, it has to be a choice, even when you have been in the car for too many hours.
Every Monday, I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you. I wrote the scriptures of this pin down on index cards and clipped them together on a binder ring. These verses of love will be riding shotgun, right next to my patience and smile. Hopefully, I will remember to pack them too.
Happy Monday, sweet friends. Don’t forget to be love along the way of your journey no matter the trial. Your legacy depends upon it.

As I kick off my Facebook Challenge this week, I am becoming more and more aware of how attached to my cellphone I am. A couple of the things I am going to be more conscious of is how much I am on my phone and how much I am missing out of by being on my phone.
I love my smart phone. I guess I should say I love having all the conveniences right at my fingertips; however, there are all kinds of temptations as well, including many things that steal time. Starting today, I am taking inventory of how well I am paying attention to what is going on around me, rather than just my phone. Today, I am going to focus on being present.
Every Monday, I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you. How about you, my friend? How distracted are you by your phone? Are you giving the ones around you your love and attention? Are you present?

“She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness,” (Proverbs 31:27).

How about you, friend? Are you using the talents that God has given you? I know I am working hard at recognizing when and where I can use my time, treasures, and talents to bring glory to our Father. I want so much to hear those words of “well done, my good and faithful servant,” (Matthew 25:23).
If you are dropping by P31Wife for the first time, every Monday I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you.
Happy Monday, friends. I hope you share your talents this week!

Every Monday, I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you. This week, I have six pins from Pinterest to share with you. They made me laugh, cry, be inspired, and reminded me how lucky I am to be in da mamahood. I hope they inspire you too.

1. I love every single habit The Stressed Mom listed here. I do all of these things but not all of these things consistently. Must. Be. Consistent. Check out the site, lots of great suggestions. I am really hoping the laundry suggestion sinks in. “She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.” Proverbs (31:17)

2. I am a sappy loving mama. This pin from Team Studer reminded me of just how important my role is as mother of my two boys. I set the tone for them to love their wives. (Which reminds me of this great read.) They are going to be wonderful husbands and fathers. I know this to be true because each and every day God reminds me that every little thing I am doing is for Him and him and him. He has my boys’ best interests at heart. “When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. ” Proverbs (31: 21)

3. This chart from busykidshappymom.org is a great reminder for different love languages that your child responds to. I like it because it gives me ideas of ideas of relating to them specifically. I love the book The Five Love Languages, and this chart is based on it. I think I will print it and put it up in my laundry room as a good reminder this summer. “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come,” (Proverbs 31:25).

4. I read this post from 71Toes and adopted one of this mom’s tips. It is my favorite! I write a little initial on my kids fingertips when they leave for school. The initial is based on a trait I love about them or something they do especially well for God. For example, I write you have a wonderful smile “S” and you love to smile at people you don’t know yet, encouraging them to make new friends. Or, God thinks you are awesome “A” because he fearfully and wonderfully made you. I don’t do this everyday, only on days I think they need a little boost. Some days, they ask me for it. Every day that I do it, they come home and ask me to write it again because they have rubbed it off. Apparently, they “looked at it so much.” You can never encourage your kids to much. “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” Proverbs (31:26)

5. Really, nuff said. “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her” Proverbs (31:28). :)

6. As a mama of boys, and a spectacular little girl who plays like a boy, there is never a shortage of Star Wars Legos hanging around. I did not take this pic, but I have made Jack Sparrow walk the plank. One day, the little Lego guys will be replaced with other things. I want to love these days and squeeze every ounce of joy out of them. Soon the seasons will change, without warning, and I will be missing them- the seasons and my little lovies. “She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness,” Proverbs (31:27).
Love to you, my friends. Happy Monday.

Every Monday, I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you.
I will get straight to the point. We have to step it up as mamas. How can we help the babies who have no mama? I have been asking myself this question for a while now. There are so many distractions (including quibbling about what competent mothers are choosing for their kids*) from the enemy (Satan) to divide us and divert our attention as mothers from the only viable point (Jesus Love): there are children to be loved that have no mama.
So, I ask you: how can you help a child? How can you make a difference in Christ’s kingdom. “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you,” (James 1:27). The Bible tells us to. We must find a way to help and love.
What if it were your child? Would you want someone to look after them?

Every Monday, I share something that inspires me on Pinterest. Something that keeps me looking towards the Father. Something that makes me stop and think about the Father’s love and all the blessings in my life, and I like to share them with you. This questionnaire made me think about how blessed I am to be a mom. I love their responses. I love that they know I love them. I love that they say I show them! I love that they have no idea how tall I am but can nail down how old I am! Well, maybe not so much. Wink. Wink.
Being a mom is the greatest, hardest, most rewarding job I have ever had. I was made to be their mom. I thank God for that every day. He has blessed me beyond measure. How about you my mama friends? Have you seen anything on Pinterest that made you think of all the blessings in your life?

“She watches over the affairs of her household

Give me Your eyes for just one second
Give me Your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me Your love for humanity
Give me Your arms for the broken-hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me Your heart for the ones forgotten …
All those people goin’ somewhere Why have I never cared?
-Brandon Heath
I love this song. It is in my heart, my mind, and on my lips all the time. My heart cries out for genuine compassion, for God to break my heart for what breaks His. We don’t have to look far for the broken-hearted. They are close. They need our love and attention. It is the mission field over seas, and it’s the mission field right here and now.
God has a plan for each of us. In the situation we are in at this very minute, He equips us to help others. He can use us to heal a hurt, to reach the seemingly unreachable. He longs to use us as His soldiers. If we can see for one second how He sees his children, what could we accomplish for Christ?

Am I doing everything I can to further the Gospel? Am I showing those around me Christ’s love on an everyday basis? What more can I do?

I love this!! I love, love, love this. My kids love maps. They pour over our National Geographic maps like crazy. They love geography, which really excites me almost as much as their hearts for prayer excite me.
Every Home for Christ sends you a map for free that ”Features all 228 nations of the world broken down into a 31-day prayer calendar. The map shows the physical location of every country and provides up-to-date information on country leaders and population figures. The map helps you focus your prayers on a different region of the world every day of the week, providing you with general information on the region, photos and specific prayer points. Also included from The Hour That Changes the World is a helpful Prayer Circle Diagram developed by Dr. Dick Eastman that will walk you through your pray time, step-by-step, so you can achieve deeper focus and intensity.” (from the site.)
I am always looking for ways to teach my children to pray, look at the world as Christ does, and open their hearts to missions. This is perfect. I cannot wait to get it in the mail. Delivery takes one to two weeks.
