31 Days Series: {Day 8: Tools}

One of the tools I have used, and still use, for my weight loss journey is Weight Watchers. For a year I prayed and asked god for guidance regarding food. For a year, He asked me to first learn to obey and rely on Him for everything. I waited on His answer like a tax refund coming in the mail. About the time, I forgot to be anxious and impatient, His answer came.
This last January, I joined Weight Watchers and I am still a member today. I like it because it teaches me how to deal with food in a way that is healthy. It did not require me to take any supplements or alter my body in any way. It is a program designed to educate you about food. From the moment I asked the Lord for His permission to join Weight Watchers, He has given me peace and favor. It was and is the right choice for me. It supplements my journey. It is not the whole journey. God is the whole journey. And, to Him I owe every success.
If you would like a tool, such as Weight Watchers, I urge you to pray over it at great lengths. God will bless your obiedience, not your tools. I am not confused about where my success comes from ever. He sustains me. If I were not able to be a part of Weight Watchers tomorrow, I know that my journey continues. He will bless my commitment to Him, not my commitment to anything else.
Genesis 22:18
“And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed—all because you have obeyed me.”
Luke 11:28
Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.”
Psalm 119:1–8
Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the LORD. Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths.
Deuteronomy 11:26–28 “Obey and you will be blessed. Disobey and you will be cursed.”
Praying.
