31 Days of Weight Loss: {Day 5: Faith}

Faith is a choice.
Faith requires you to walk to a destination that you cannot see your surroundings and you cannot lead yourself. For much of my life I just could not wrap my mind around it. But that was the problem: my mind.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1).
When I started realizing that my heart had faith, but my mind was holding me back, change set in. I made a conscious choice to embrace what I could not see and allow my mind to envision a healthy life. God changed my mind. Literally.
I started to actually believe that I could do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me, not just the ones I thought I was capable of.
I stopped believing lies.
I choose to have faith in a God who could move mountains.
And, He did.
You can live a healthy life too. You can choose today to make choices that are God honoring. Make little ones, one at a time, that add up to big ones. You can choose to eat a healthier meal, take a walk, throw out foods that cause you to sin. You can have faith in God and yourself that you will be healthy. You may not see it right now, and that is okay. God can. He is already there waiting for you. Have faith in Him to work this change through you. Make your choice Him. If you want a deeper relationship with Christ, you need to have faith.
And, really, isn’t that what this is all about, this weight loss journey, a deeper relationship with the one who created you?
Choose faith.

“Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you, ” (Matthew 17:20).
