What moves you? What stops you and leaves your soul naked before the Lord?
Sunday mornings you will find tears in my eyes, my voice lifted up in praise, and my heart on the Lord. This is how the Lord wired me. I never make it through the second verse of “How Great the Father’s Love” without a lump in my throat, and by the last verse all the layers of this world are gone. In fact, when the music starts my husband usually reaches for my hand, and we are at the feet of the Master together. ”Sing to Him. Sing praise to Him; tell of all his wonderful acts” (Psalm 105:2).
But it is not just Sunday morning, you can barely hear Third Day, Mercy Me, or Casting Crowns over my singing in the car. Music is deeply embedded in to our souls. It’s where we find God. It is how we communicate with God. Whether at church, in my car, or in my home, I have to hear it everyday. It is how I seek God. “I love those who love me and those who seek me find me” (Proverbs 8:17).
When I look at this picture, I see a child who talks to God like I do— with worship. I see a kindred spirit. I see what Heaven will look like. Instantly, I am moved. “Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you…with singing lips my mouth will praise you” (Psalm 63: 3, 5).
What about you my sisters? What moves you? Seen anything on Pinterest this week that moves you, reminds you of the Father?
