Love Letter
Love Letter

Eleven years ago, I found myself at a crossroads. I needed Jesus, but I was afraid. Afraid that I could never be forgiven enough, and longing to be loved to my very core. I found myself on my knees, tears all cried out, and aching to start my first conversation with Jesus. I took a deep breath, and I started talking.
I begged him to forgive me for squandering all the blessings he had given me for the last thirty years, for turning my face from Him, for doubting His love for me, and for allowing my heart to be embittered. I poured out my sinful, rebel heart and I waited. I waited for Him to be like many others. I waited for Him to leave me there broken and afraid. What happened next changed my life.
He did not leave. Instead, He asked me to read. Not audibly, but in my heart I knew. I got up off the floor, and I opened my Bible. I had to know what Jesus had to say to me. I had to read His love letter to me. I couldn’t let another day go by and not know how He felt about me. The Bible became reality that day, and Jesus became my soul. I had to read every word.
Do you need to know what Jesus has written to you? Do you need the love of a Savior, my friend? Are you at a crossroads? Are you afraid that your sins are too much to be forgiven? Then, I beg of you to do what I did, and cry out to Jesus. Ask Him to show you His love letter for you. Ask Him to reveal himself to you through His Word and in your life. Ask Him to become your reality. His Word will not return void.
I had no idea what to pray the day I asked Jesus to be my Savior. In case you need some words, friend, here is a Salvation Prayer:
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. (John 3:16)
Amen.
If you are choosing Christ for the first time, and you would like my help to get you a Bible, pray with you, or if you have any other questions. Please message me, friend. I would love to pray with and for you. It would be my honor. Better is one day in His courts, than thousands elsewhere, my friend.
